All residential homeowner loans are regulated by the Financial Services Authority. All regulated loans are subject to stringent checks by the mortgage broker and the mortgage lender.
As a minimum the following will paperwork will be required to process a residential mortgage application:
Proof of ID
Proof of Address
3 Months Bank Statements
3 Months Payslips or 2 years Accounts/SA302’s and Tax Overview Forms

The whole application to completion timescale for a homeowner mortgage is around 6 weeks for a remortgage and approx. 2 – 3 months for a purchase. Your mortgage broker and allocated administrator will look after the whole process for you from application through to completion. They will liaise with you to keep you updated but will also liaise with the estate agents, the surveyors and the solicitors to bring about a swift conclusion.
